TikTok is a short-form video app originally dominated by women and teenage girls making harmless dance and lipsync clips, formerly being referred to as Musically. It is no surprise that the app was considered cringe, as males love poking fun at young girls being “cringe” for some reason. Within a few years, however, men infiltrated the platform and turned it into yet another misogynistic breeding ground. The app now functions as a radicalization machine, where male users are funneled toward anti-woman content under the guise of “self-improvement” and “alpha male” advice.

Proof of misogyny being widespread

In fact, there’s a study that shows if you sign up as a male on such platforms, within 23 minutes you will be presented with male supremacist anti-feminist content. This goes to show how much males have immense hatred for women no matter what we do. It hurts, a lot, knowing that misogyny is now mainstream and lies are still being spread about women every day.
