Misandry is the supposed hatred of men and boys, which has only ever occured on online platforms, contrary to misogyny, which is ingrained in our everyday society. Such practices are commonly said to be non-existent, since the ideology of male supremacy is the reality of humankind.

The concept of misandry is frequently weaponized by men to silence women’s anger, painting them as irrational or hateful simply for recognizing patterns of male behavior that are harmful. A woman criticizing male entitlement, violence, or emotional immaturity is often dismissed as a “man-hater,” when in truth, her words are based on lived experience and statistical reality.
